Joseph A. Jackson
Joseph A. Jackson has spent over 20 years in healthcare leadership roles including operations, supply chain, and finance. As Managing Director for SHS, Joe has worked with hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) across the nation providing interim leadership and project management for high profile and high dollar supply chain initiatives.
Prior to SHS, Joe was Executive Director of Orthopedic and Support Services for a multi-facility health system in Atlanta where he was able to refine his product and industry knowledge. In this role, he dealt extensively with the utilization of orthopedic, spine, and cardiovascular implants along with the respective manufacturers. Joe built a systematic approach to cost analysis, supply expense reduction, financial system implementation, payroll & labor productivity analysis, inventory and distribution management that returned significant value to the hospital.
Joel R. Appleberry
Director of Operations
As a Partner and Director of Operations at Strategic Healthcare Services, Joel brings a wealth of healthcare knowledge and operational expertise. His experiences in managing large datasets to identify and achieve strategic goals have been pivotal to both SHS and its clients’ successes. Throughout his career, Joel has worked closely with hospitals and device manufacturers to refine their day-to-day processes and ensure continued operational excellence.
Prior to joining Strategic Healthcare Services, Joel gained extensive provider experience and insight working directly with a nationally recognized hospital CEO to organize a strategic planning initiative. In this role, he reviewed operational improvements for specific hospital needs within the system as well as service-line development with both administrative and physician leadership to ensure sustained quality.
